CFA compensation scheme
Last updated 19 March 2009
The Country Fire Authority operates a compensation scheme for volunteer members of a CFA brigade. Compensation is also provided to people assisting CFA as Casual Firefighters or Volunteer Auxiliary Workers.
Compensation is for personal injury and property loss or damage suffered while performing CFA service.
If you are a member of the CFA and were injured whilst performing a service as a CFA member you should contact your local brigade, report the injury and ask for a compensation claim form. If you have difficulty contacting your local brigade, you can contact the Injury and Claims Department at CFA Headquarters on (03) 9262 8244.
